Cows are probably the easiest of all animals to fence using electric fencing and the systems are very simple to erect.

Dairy Cattle

Because of their gentle nature it is usually only necessary to use a single strand of electric poly-wire to fence dairy cows this is best supported on metal pigtail posts.

Beef Cattle

Beef cattle can be a little more boisterous (the emphasis being on the ‘boy’!) than dairy cows and so it is usually better to use two lines of poly-wire these can, again, be supported on metal posts with adjustable insulators.
